What stands out most about the King 12″ Viscoelastic Memory Foam Mattress are price and comfort. At under $700, you are getting excellent value. It may not be as quite good as a Tempurpedic, but it also is only a fraction of the cost. The comfort of this mattress is outstanding, as it will relieve back pain and pressure points. You also won’t feel stiffness in the morning that a lot of us feel with a spring.
It may take a few days to get used to as the mattress does go through a breaking in period. Also, their is a smell initially, but for most is a complete non-issue after a few days. It’s also firm, and there really isn’t a sleeping position that doesn’t feel relaxing other than sleeping on your stomach.
Many customers noted that the mattress arrived right on time and was very well packaged. It’s heavy, but is easier to carry since it comes vacuum packed. It only takes a few hours for it to completely flatten.

Based on the number of positive customer reviews, chances are you won’t have to worry about returning it. However, how a mattress feels will ultimately vary from person to person. If for some reason the mattress is not what you wanted or expected, then returning it is going to be a real hassle. It not only is extremely difficult to lift, but will cost almost $200 to ship it back to cover shipping and a restocking fee. You would almost be better off selling it to someone who needs it rather than trying to return it.
A few individuals did have a problem with the chemical smell. However, most are not able to detect anything after a few days or weeks. Some placed sheets over the top of the mattress to hide it as well. My research tells me that pretty much all memory foam mattresses have a chemical smell, but it tends to go away after a short period of time. Spraying Febreze on it and allowing air to blow on it does help.
It does sleep hot, and one customer noted to get bamboo sheets to help the mattress breathe.
One last note is that this is not the same quality as a Tempurpedic mattress. So if you are shooting for Tempurpedic quality, then buy a Tempurpedic mattress. However, considering the price difference, the The King 12″ Viscoelastic Memory Foam Mattress offers far better value.

My husband’s backpain was almost completely alleviated within a couple of days. He still has to use pillows when he sleeps, but he is able to sleep through the night and wake up with minimal stiffness. The movement in the mattress is greatly reduced. I still wake up when he rolls sometimes, but I think this was my fault for getting a metal frame and not investing in a platform bed frame. I was so excited about this bed…and for about the month that I’ve had it I really enjoyed it…however as of late, I have been waking up with back pain…which was the whole reason I bought a new bed.
